Race Season is here!

2013: The Beginning

Race season is close at hand, friends!  I'm four days from my first race of the season, Spartan Indiana!  For those that have read the few posts or in the know, this is a "Sprint" length course (roughly 3-5 miles) at Haspin Acres, located in Laurel, Indiana.  For those that have finished a Warrior Dash or a Spartan Sprint, for that matter, the technicality of this course is most likely lost on those that haven't completed this particular race.  This race was Raw.  There weren't a lot of man made obstacles, but what man did not provide, mother nature doled out in spades.

Rough terrain. Cold weather (high of somewhere around 44 degrees). Rain. Mud. Rain. Mud.  Did I mention mud?  Last year, around one third of the runners did not finish.

I'm scared excited to see what 2013 holds in our future.

For those that need a little bit of motivation, I've included one of the  BEST Spartan Race video ever created.  Don't agree?  Leave me a comment with the link for the best Spartan Race video, if you think there's a better one.
